Diane Lang
My name is Diane Lang and I was born an only child into a loving family and raised in a happy environment. I graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and went on to accept a position working at the New England Telephone Company. It was while serving in this job that I met my soulmate and soon to be husband. We were married in 1981 and began our family of six, composed of our four beautiful children, Andrea, Johnny, Michael, and Brian. My passion in life was to be a good, caring, loving wife and mother. I was able to accomplish this with the help of God and love for my family. Once my children were raised and living their own lives, I retired from my job at Met Life in 2015. I began this new journey in my life which came to a halt when our family experienced a horrific tragedy. My amazing son Brian passed away from the disease of addiction on October 30, 2016. He was our youngest child, our baby boy, our hero. Since Brian’s passing, I have acquired a new passion in addition to those listed above. I now have a passion to share the love in my heart by helping families through their own personal grief. I desire to serve as a reminder to them that their lives will go on; it will simply go on differently after the loss of their loved one. As I travel this path, my son Brian is with me every step of the way. It was through Brian’s passing that I was introduced to the Banner of Love. The Banner is a new passion and I pray to work as hard as I can to help others through the tragic effects and losses that occur due to addiction.
